VOGUE cover, artist study; Jonathan Monaghan
This piece is a study on the artist Jonathan Monaghan. His signature style uses pop culture images and traditional artistic motifs as powerful symbols to command a critique on society. Read more here. This artist study lead to my later series Sins.
Sins
Influenced by artist Jonathan Monaghan. This series attempts to modernize the seven deadly sins. Each sin is reinterpreted into a more relatable modern conflict. For example the olde sin of sloth hardly applies to our current daily lives, however laziness and procrastination are being committed in abundance. Moreover the use of religious iconography addresses how these contemporary sins are being preached rather than shamed in our society.

PlayBot
This exploration in digital painting challenges the current use of plastic surgery and cosmetic augmentation. Based off of a women's magazine and play boy, the cover model presented is a futuristic take on Stepford Wives.
High School Career 2011-2015
Each artist goes on their own journey, traveling through different mediums and styles, exploring the good, the bad and the ugly. I like to think of my portfolio as a map for everywhere I've been and as reference for my future. As an art student, my university acts as my vessel in my expedition. Since attending The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) I've learned how much I have yet to learn. So I will keep on adventuring forth, ever evolving and improving.
Thank You
I always appreciate when someone takes the time to view my art. I hope you enjoyed my work. I have pieces dating back to my freshman year of high school and I last updated March 2016.
